Okay, so I was a little resistant to becoming a "blogger" but I've never seemed to run out of things to say before, so I guess I'll give it a whirl. Afterall, maybe it will help me to keep better updated with friends I haven't seen in awhile.

I have just come back from a long weekend in Eureka Springs, Arkansas with my family and my boyfriend, Chris. We were celebrating my Dad's 60th birthday, my parents' 40th wedding anniversary and my nephew Connor's 6th birthday. It was a wonderful time! We went swimming in the lake, played games, visited, ate and stayed in a pretty sweet cabin in the woods.

This weekend I had a lot of time to sit back and see just how very blessed I am. Despite a few quirks...my family is awesome. We love each other and we have fun when we're together. 40 years is a long time...and my parents still seem so happy. I couldn't help but tear up a bit when my Dad blew out his candles on the (not so perfect) birthday cake I made for him.

As for Chris, I'm so in love with him. No one makes me happier and he seems to be fitting in just fine! ;)
